* Welcome to Patrice's Web Site *

Thank you for visiting my Team in Training web site! As you may already know, I have taken on the challenge of running a half marathon. I know what you are thinking…Patrice? Run? Yes, it is true! I will be running the Avenue of the Giants Half Marathon on May 4, 2003 in Humboldt Redwoods State Park as part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma’s Team in Training®(TNT), a nationwide endurance training and fundraising program. TNT will provide me with coaches, a training regimen, and all the support I need to cross the finish line. In return, I have committed to raise $2,500 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to help find a cure for blood-related cancers.

Beyond the desire to complete a half marathon, I have a personal reason for joining the battle against cancer. My run is dedicated in memory of my mother, Pat LaCroix, who lost her battle with cancer in 1994. I will also be running in honor of a local patient, Rich Brooks, who is currently undergoing treatment for Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia.

I am not sure which seems more overwhelming...raising the money or running the 13.1 miles! I am asking for your help in this challenge by making a generous contribution. Your tax-deductible contribution will help make a difference in the lives of those with blood-related cancers. Plus, I will place your name on the contributor list on this web site for the whole world to see!

For those of you who have already sent me your donation, THANK YOU! If you have not yet sent in your donation, don't fret, there's still time!
